This is my sixth year teaching at Emmons. This year I am fortunate to teach both 6th and 7th grade science. I grew up in Lindenhurst with my 6 brothers and sisters. I have a twin sister named Karen. My childhood house was one of the first ones in Lindenhurst back when it was called Lindenhurst Estates.
I have three wonderful children that are all currently in college. My oldest son James is a vocal performance music major at Northern Illinois University (GO HUSKIES), my middle son Sean, is a Philosophy major at College of Lake County and my daughter Chelsea is working on a degree public relations and advertising, she is a sophomore at DePaul University in Chicago.
My husband is a Senior Design Engineer. He designs anything from outboard marine motors, cellphone, staplers, dialysis machines and go-carts. In his spare time he has been renovating our home, making custom cabinets, and fixing everything that needs fixing.
In my spare time I am learning how to quilt. I also enjoy anything related to science. This past summer I traveled to Colorado to visit my younger sister. We went geocaching and found Junkrassic Park (check out the slideshow). We also went to Bishops Castle in San Isabel Forest and climbed the Great Sand Dunes in Alamosa.
I love working with middle school students. They are the best!!! I LOVE TEACHING SCIENCE ;D
