We are currently reading Because of Winn Dixie. It is humorous story about a little girl who moved to a rural town in Florida.  She lives with her dad, the preacher, in an all adult trailer park.  She has no friends.  On a trip to the local Winn Dixie grocery store, she finds a stray dog and saves him from the pound.  She names him Winn Dixie.  He becomes her best friend.  He gives her the courage to survive this new town.  Everything happens "because of Winn Dixie".

Review multiplication facts nightly.  We will have a ice cream social on Oct. 31, for those students who pass their fact test up to 12's.

I plan to take 2 grades a week from each subject.  So it is important the students complete assignments. 

 It's very important that your child be at school.  We are covering material daily and if your child is not here they will fall behind.  If your child is absent please check to see if they homework page for work they may be able to complete before they return.
