Home Page Spanish Class with Mrs. Nelson

Dear Parents,

I would like you all to know that we have found a well qualified substitute for my classes while on maternity leave for the later part of April and all of May.  I would like to introduce you to Mrs. Ann Loeffler.  She comes to John Paul II High School from Maryland, with over ten years of teaching experience in both public and private secondary education (9th – 12th grade).  Even better, Mrs. Loeffler has been a state certified teacher in the area of Spanish.  I am confident in her abilities as a teacher.  She will be able to provide students with the instructional background necessary for success in next year’s Spanish class.

Just so you all know, I may not be in the building but I will still be participating and involved in the education of our student.  Students (as well as you all) will still be able to contact me via e-mail at snelson@johnpauliihs.org or by phone at 469-229-5145 anytime you need to discuss anything. However, I do request that you speak with Mrs. Loeffler for any problems or concerns you are having before you come directly to me.  Also, please allow Mrs. Loeffler and I to meet with you concerning any questions or concerns as soon as they arise.  This is the last nine weeks of school and you know this semester will be the shortest yet.

Mrs. Loeffler and I are already planning together for the last two months of the school year.  Spanish 3 is planned from April 1 to the end of the school year.  We are still working on Spanish 1 and 2.  Final exams and the reviews for Spanish 2 and 3 are finished.  We are working on Spanish 1. Rest assured the student calendars will be finished soon and in the kids in box as well as on line.  The reviews for their final exams will be ready for May.

Finally, thank you all.  You have been so wonderful this year with your supportive e-mail, phone calls and willingness to work with me no matter what the situation.  I couldn’t be a member of a better community than this one.

See you all next year!
