Nightly Homework

Homework... Your child will be bringing his/her homework folder home each day. He/She should complete the daily assignment. Once you've checked his/her work.... please read, sign and return the folder on the following school day. If you wish to write a comment feel free to do so in the "Parent Signature" portion of the agenda. You may also e-mail me at smulligan@dordcs.org. Reading: One of the most important parts of homework in first grade is student need to read for 15 minutes daily each month. Choose books for your child that they can succeed with but also challenge them. Books that have the sight words used for the week, or spelling words, are ideal. Math: The children will be having Math homework Mon. thru Thurs. Homework is expected to be returned the next day. If a student does not return the homework, a parent is expected to contact me in regards to the reason, on the day that it is due.
