I am a lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. I graduated from Butler High School and received my Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Augusta State University. I am certified to teach both language arts and social studies. I currently live in Evans with my wonderful husband, Garret, and our two kitty cats. I also have a stepdaughter, Peyton, who is a first year middle school student this year!

Garret and I spend our summers at the lake where his parents have a lakehouse. We're sun lovers and love being in or near water, so if we're not at the lake, we're at a pool or the beach. We love the outdoors and whatever you can do outside... canoeing, camping, backyard birds, boating, jetskiing, etc.! I also enjoy photography, reading, music, dining out, traveling, and, of course, shopping!

I am extremely blessed to be a part of one of the best middle schools in one of the best school systems in Georgia.  I am proud of the Columbia County School System and proud of our school.  I love Lakeside Middle -- I love my fellow educators and our administrators, and I especially love our STUDENTS! Not only is it a dream come true for me to be a teacher, but to also look forward to going to "work" every day. The words "work" and "job" have such negative connotations that I don't think they are the right words to describe what I do on a daily basis. All I know is that I'm extremely blessed to be where I am, doing what I do with all those that I'm doing it with.
