Summer Enrichment Program

Colleagues,
Some of us get a hankering to learn something new just for the joy of learning. Our students feel it too! What would you offer our kids if you had the chance to teach a fun class, or two or three, that didn’t require tests, homework or grades? What would you do to stretch the creativity of young minds in Sherman?
We’re interested in hearing your ideas for this year’s Summer Enrichment classes. Throughout the Enrichment Program's existence, students have enjoyed classes in art, cooking, strings and science, to name a few. If you’re interested in joining our team, please send your ideas to Melba Avila, Summer Enrichment Coordinator, at mavila@shermanisd.net We are pleased to welcome the following classes to our roster: String Fling! Ever wonder what it's like to play the violin, viola, cello or bass? Students, here's a teaching assistant opportunity for you! Some of our teachers have been interested in training high school students as assistants in their classrooms.
