Mathletes Mathletes is an after school activity available to any student interested in participating. We meet MONDAYS from 3 to 4 PM, in Room 200 (or the cafeteria if more space is needed). If a student can not make all gatherings that's fine. This group is flexible and if another activity needs to take precedence occasionally that's fine. Typical meetings include an opportunity for solving challenge word problems and thinking games (such as Set, Rush Hour, etc). As in past years, there are 6 Intra-District Competitions (see attached file for schedule); hopefully one to two competitions hosted by St John's High School (typically October & April).
New this year, we also enrolled in the Intermediate Math League of Eastern Massachusetts (IMLEM). The dates / locations of all the meets are:
October 17th, Monday – District meet at Mountview
October 19th, Wednesday – at Worcester Academy, Worcester
December 1st, Thursday – at Walsh, Framingham
December 12th, Monday – District meet at Princeton
January 12th, Thursday – at Melican, Northboro
January 23rd, Monday – District meet at Paxton
February 2nd, Thursday - MathCounts, Shrewsbury (Limited to 8 students) February 13th, Monday – District meet at Sterling
February 16th, Thursday – at Fuller, Framingham
March 19th, Monday – District meet at TBD (probably Mountview)
March 26th, Thursday – at Gibbons, Westboro April 3oth, Monday – District meet at Wachusett High School Parents, please sign up for e-mails for additional information by clicking on the envelope at the upper part of this page.
