Follow the Four

Follow the Four is Peters Elementary's school-wide behavior plan. By following these four simple rules wherever you are in our building, it makes Peters a safe and happy place for everyone to learn!

The rules are:

1 Be still, straight, and silent in the halls.

2 Respect others and yourself.

3 Follow adult directions the first time they are given.

4 Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

These rules are school-wide, and also apply in our classroom.

When a rule is broken in our classroom, the following consequences will occur:

First time-Verbal warning

Second time-Name in behavior book and move green behavior card to yellow-this means 5 minutes from recess

Third time-Check next to name in book and move yellow behavior card to red-this means 10 minutes from recess

Fourth time-second checkmark next to name in book-recess lost and behavior referral sent home 

*Children who Follow the Four will be rewarded for their good behavior as well. Throughout the year, we will have  school-wide rewards for those who have consistently kept their name out of the behavior book and have Followed the Four. Our class will have behavior incentives as well.

Unfortunately, this also means that those children who consistently do not Follow the Four may lose the privilege of attending these periodic school-wide celebrations or classroom behavior awards.
