Welcome to English Literature Honors! (also known as British Literature Honors) This year we will be studying the literature of the British Isles beginning with the Anglo-Saxons in 449 AD and continuing through the 20th century. This survey course will explore the socioeconomic, political, religious, and philosophical aspects of British literature throughout time. Students will be expected to make the cross-cultural connections to recognize how the study of British literature shapes and determines the social mores of our culture today.
