The district social studies curriculum for the eight grade focuses on the following topics of study:

      Unit One: The Land of Kansas

     Unit Two: Early People

     Unit Three: Emigrant Indians                     

     Unit Four: Bleeding Kansas

     Unit Five: Kansas Become a State/ State Government

     Unit Six: Settlers

     Unit Seven: Railroads, Cattle, and Agriculture

    Unit Eight: Reform in Kansas

    Unit Nine: Progression in the early 1900

    Unit Ten: Good Time and Bad Times

    Unit Eleven: A Modern World

    Unit twelve: Kansas Today and Tomorrow
