Kansas History

Welcome Kansas History! The main focus of the seventh grade curriculum is Kansas History from early times to present day.   

The district social studies curriculum for the eight grade focuses on the following topics of study:

      Unit One: Native Americans and Explorers

     Unit Two: Bleeding Kansas and Civil War 

     Unit Three: Kansas State and Local Government                     

     Unit Four: Trails and Forts in Kansas

     Unit Five: Railroads, Cattle, Agriculture, Settlers

     Unit Six: Reform in Kansas

    Unit Eight: Progression in the early 1900

    Unit Nine: Good Time and Bad Times

    Unit Ten: A Modern World

    Unit Eleven: Kansas Today and Tomorrow
