American History: Monday November 9, 2009: Today students put together their note packets for unit two and then had the rest of the hour to work with a partner to complete their unit two study guide. Homework: geography activity due tomorrow and study guide Current Event - Friday Tuesday November 10, 2009: Today as a class we went over the study guide and I explained to the students the layout of the test. Then students worked with a partner to complete several review activities to help prepare them for the test tomorrow. Homework: Study for test tomorrow. Wednesday November 11, 2009: Today the students continued to work on a variety of review tasks with a partner. These review tasks are to help student prepare for their unit test. Kansas History Monday November 9, 2009: Today the students worked with a partner to complete a primary source reading activity. Then students finished their vocabulary graphic organizer. Then students had a chance to work on their geography activity which is due on Friday. Homework: make sure vocabulary is finished and study for map quiz tomorrow Tuesday November 10, 2009: Today students took their map quiz. Then we finished a graphic organizer explaining the difference between proslavery and antislavery. Then I read to the class a news article that compared the rivalry of Kansas and Missouri to the current rivalry in sports. Then I explained the blog activity students will complete in technology class that compares the article I read in class with information we have learned in class. They are also to compare the information to the Jayhawker Book being read in English class. Homework: finish vocabulary and read pages 98-99 and 108-110 and answer #1-7 on their notes Geography Activity - due Friday Wednesday November 11, 2009: No class today due to the Vetran's Day Assembly at the High School.
