Geography
7th Grade - First Semester |

 Welcome to 7th grade Geography. I am very excited about geography this year, especially since we have brand new book and wonderful new resources. I have many great activities planned for this first semester of study.
The district social studies curriculum for the seventh grade focuses on the following topics of study: The Study of Geography A Look at the World Landforms and Climates of the World The World's People North America - United States North America - Canada Central America - Mexico and the Caribbean South America Africa Asia Australia/Antarctica/Oceania Europe We will not be able to cover all of these continents by December but we will be working through as many as we can. The main focus is for students to understand the different cultures that make up our world in order to appreciate the difference and celebrate them. As the year progresses I'll be posting important class information and announcements on this webpage. Use the subtopic links to find weekly assignments for each unit, student objectives, enrichment projects, and portfolio assessment projects. I'm looking forward to a great year in Geography and I hope you are too!
