About Mrs. Handke

Mrs. Sabrina Handke              

Education:

I was raised on a farm near the town of Effingham and graduated in 1996 from Atchison County Community High School (ACCHS).  I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a special middle school endorsement in social sciences from Kansas State University in 2001.  I spent the next two years teaching 5th grade at Salt Creek Valley elementary School which is part of the Pleasant Ridge School District.  In 2003 I came to Midway and worked as the Librarian.  In 2004 I was hired as the 7th and 8th social studies teacher at the newly contracted Doniphan West Middle School.  In the summer of 2006 I completed my Masters Degree in Education from Baker University.

Family:

In 2002 I married my highschool sweetheart.  My husband is a branch manager for the Farmer and Merchant's state bank in Effingham. In 2006 we were blessed with a daughter- Avery.  On February 25, 2009 Benjamin Robert Handke joined our family.
