There's so much going on in the Ferndale Schools. Nearly every day in the school year is filled with concerts, athletic events, plays, musicals, meetings, and parent nights. There is something for everyone.

Diversity & Community Relations
If you would like to be a part of the district's Diversity activities, please join us at our monthly meetings. Our membership is open to students, parents, staff, community members - anyone who is interested in promoting the diversity of our district.

Tours of our schools are available for new school families. Just call and we'll help arrange a tour with the building principal. There's nothing that can compare to your first-hand experience visiting our schools.
Kindergarten
Ferndale Schools now offer both full-day kindergarten and half-day options! Regular tours for incoming kindergarten students are scheduled throughout the fall and early spring. Roosevelt Primary School, winner of a national Character Counts award, has open enrollment for kindergarten. Kennedy School, our K-6 magnet school offers two programs open through a lottery process due to limited space. Tours of both schools are required by February 28 each year to be included in the Kennedy Lottery. Call 248/586-8686 for more information, or to find out how to schedule a tour.
Extravaganza! February of Each School Year
Our annual district showcase is open to the public and a perfect opportunity to see how our students are learning within their classrooms. Teachers and students demonstrate and share their curriculum, explain how and why they are learning. This is an exciting, dynamic peek into our schools and gives visitors a chance to see and hear not only dynamic lessons taught by our excellent teachers, but also concerts, dance recitals, art demonstrations and displays. Realtors' Breakfast - Annually in January
Every year, we invite realtors who sell homes in our district to attend a special workshop designed just for them. Our principals, students, parents and administrators sit down with realtors for a few hours of delicious breakfast and valuable information about our district.
