Meet Mrs. Groene

I am a native of Fort Madison. My husband and I have three grown children living from coast to coast, so traveling is one of our favorite things to do. We have one grandson who is too far away, but with the help of email and computers we are seeing the highlights of him growing up.  I also enjoy walking, reading, and quilting.

I graduated from Western Illinois University in Macomb. I have taught 27 years at Aquinas and now Holy Trinity in grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and the BTC program.

I love helping my students become the best learners that they can be. I will challenge them by incorporating higher order thinking skills in all we do. Our learning strategies will focus on using creative and critical thinking skills, self-evaluation strategies, and student independence.
