Happy February!  Well it's true... the groundhog saw his shadow so we will have 6 more weeks of winter.

I updated my homework policy as I was noticing some bad habits in our class.  Any student who fails to turn in homework without a valid excuse or note from home will miss their recess time.  The homework is expected to be done nightly and turned in on time everyday!                                             

Spelling lists are up on www.spellingcity.com now.  They are grouped according to spelling colors (yellow, pink, blue).  Your child's homework page will determine which color group they are in.  I will try to post the new lists by Friday evening each week so that you can get a jump on studying!

Yearbook sales were last week.  If you missed them and want to order do so by Thursday with Mrs. McNeil or sorry you won't be able to get one!  The cost is $20 a book (buy a second for $15).  I do have a current list of who purchased a yearbook so far outside the classroom on the whiteboard.

Don't forget to turn your box tops in to help raise money for our school.  We have a monthly contest and B-3 really wants to win!

Thanks to Faby Ferguson for a great art corp lesson on the color wheel.  We will need to reschedule the next one due to our field trip.
