In K-2 Music Classes, children are offered opportunities to learn through cooperative and active participation.  Following the National Standards for Music Education, students will actively:  Sing, Move, Play Instruments, Improvise, Compose, Read & Notate Music, Listen & Analyze Music, Evaluate Musical Performances, and develop Multicultural & Historical Connects within a wide variety of musical styles/genres from across the globe.

Music Education builds the foundation for the core curricular areas such as Math and Language Arts by utilizing creativity and higher level thinking skills.  Not only does music education reach across the curriculum, it also instills confidence, and unity among classmates while effectively developing musicianship.   Children will gain an appreciation and enjoyment of music to last a lifetime.
