Welcome to United States History at Palo Verde High School.  Most people love to tell stories about themselves and others.  Stories can sometimes vary from time to time due to the passing on of historical information and relevancy to one’s perspective.  Keeping this in mind will help you to appreciate and understand the study of our country’s history.  To live together in this diverse nation we must be educated about our national heritage and culture and listen to the stories from people in the past. 

This is a one-year History course that will cover our nation’s history from the exploration period to the present.  Emphasis will be placed on significant historical events in the history of the United States and their consequences.  This course will fulfill the United States History credit required for graduation.
