Hi Everyone,                                                                        

Welcome to a new school year!  I hope you all have had a relaxing summer.

Let me take a minute to introduce myself.  My name is Deb Rubenstein.   I grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island with 2 older brothers and a dachshund named Fritz.  Having been raised in New England, I have been a Red Sox and Patriot fan my entire life. 

 I have been a Special Education Teacher since September 1982 after graduating from Russell Sage College.  I spent several years working for RCG BOCES(QuestarIII) followed by 4 years at home raising my daughter.  In 1992, I began teaching at Green Meadow.  The following year my husband, daughter, and I moved to East Greenbush from Troy.  My daughter, Rachel, attended Green Meadow and graduated in June of 2006 from Columbia High School. She just finished her education and graduated from the University of Vermont.  She recently moved to Colorado.   I guess we are official empty nesters!

At Green Meadow our Teaching Assistants are an integral part of our program and your child's success.  I feel fortunate to have Mrs. Carol Clifford, Mrs. Brenda Ruschetta and Mrs. Nancy Mulligan as part of the team.  I think your children will enjoy working with them as well.  Currently, I will be working with all the 1st graders and Kindergarten classes.
