Participación

Student involvement in the course is essential for student success.  It not only includes participating in class activities, but studying the material at home, and doing the necessary practice to be ready to participate in the classroom and do well in daily written or oral assessment.

Each student will  begin with a participation grade of 100.  However, points will be taken for:           

(-5)              à        completed about half of the activity, or did not  

                                use material learned

(-10)           à        activity not done, or shows no effort (unintelligible or

                               copied). 

E   (-10)           à        speaking English without permission

M  (-10)           à        not having class materials

P    (-10)          à        not participating in class activity, not following

instructions.

 

Bonus Points:  Online exercises that review for each quiz are given for 5 extra points each.  They are due on the day of the quiz.
