George and Drake Go to The Super Bowl

George and Drake were fortunate enough to have attended the Superbowl in Miami Florida.  They both posted this report about their Superbowl adventure!

        The Super Bowl was a great experience!  We came back from Newark Airport, it was 90 degrees in Miami, so we felt relieved. We then went where we were staying in Miami. George stayed at his grandparents, and Drake stayed at the Biltmore Hotel. It was awesome.

 

      On Sunday we went to the big game! We went by charter bus form Drake’s hotel. When we got there we went to the NFL Experience. It had tons of fun games like Training Camp, where we had to go through a lot of dummies and bags. We then went to the NFL Card Store. Drake got a Devin Hester plaque, a Peyton Manning card, a Reggie Wayne card, and last a Rex Grossman card. George got a Dan Marino plaque, and a Peyton Manning card.

 

      Finally, we went into the stadium. It was the first time Drake has been to this stadium, but George has been there for the Florida Marlins games, and the Miami Dolphins games .It was so cool when the fireworks exploded up into the air when the players came out. Then we went to our seats but we didn’t sit together.

 

      First, we heard the incredible voice of the wonderful Billy Joel singing the National Anthem. Then the U.S. Air Force flew 6 Thunderbird jet planes over the stadium. They flew like THUNDER!  We both jumped to see what was happening. It looked like we were Pop Tarts coming out of the toaster!

 

      The opening kickoff was exciting for Drake, but not for George. Devin Hester ran the ball all the way back for a 92 yard touchdown. Drake wanted the Bears to win but George wanted the Colts to win. And of course George was right. The Colts came out The celebration began after the game.on top 29-17.

 

      It was a great experience for both of us. It was  also very, very, very exciting!  It was a once in a lifetime experience. We will probably never go there again unless it is in Miami again.
