Monarchs in Cape May Fall 2007

Every year Monarchs that migrated down the East coast all gather in Cape May Point State Park in late September before they cross the Delaware Bay on their southern migration route.  Cape May Point is a funneling point along the East Coast where every year thousands of Monarchs gather to nectar along their route as they fly south from the northern Canadian Provinces.  Every year Mr. S. goes to Cape May to track the Monarch Migration.  This year was no exception, he and his family spent the day in Cape May with many other Monarch teachers from all over New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania.  Many of the teachers that Mr. S. meets in Cape May each year he has also traveled to Mexico with in past years to visit the Monarch Sanctuaries.

Enjoy the photos from Cape May, New Jersey!
