Wow! The first of the year has been flying by! The art show is only 5 weeks away and I feel like there are too many things to think about all at once! We are still working on a display problem that seems like it will never get fixed! But it will I'm sure! I hope I can get everyone finished with their artwork in time for them to pick their favorite to put in the art show!

After we finish the art show, we will be working on artwork to display at the Hall County Board of Education in January! Only 7 pieces of artwork get to be displayed so I must choose one from each grade level to be displayed, with the exception of 5th grade, who get to have two!

In addition, students will begin using thier journals regularly! We will also be taking pictures of everyone's artwork to put on www.artsonia.com for display and fundraising efforts!

Get ready! The whirlwind of a year has only just begun!

I asked the students to also come up with ideas for fixing an ugly window near the art room. I was amazed at the ideas they came up with. The ideas were so good that it is going to be easy to merge all of them as one. We will be decorating it as a stained glass window. Things we will include in the design of the window are: Riverbend Hornets, Art, Music, Computer, PE, general education, cultural diversity, and will be signed by the artist.
