Gr. 11 Functions and Relations

This course is divided into the following units :

Unit 1: Sequences and Series

Unit 2: Financial Mathematics

( the study of how sequences and series play a role in compound interest, annuities and mortgages)

Unit 3:  Rational expressions + Factor-Remainder theorem

Unit 4:  Quadratic equations and complex numbers

Unit 5:  Trig functions of sin x, cos x and tan x

Unit 6:  Transformations of functions

( how to compress, expand, shift a function left and right )

Unit 7:  Conics

( graphing parabolas, hyperbolas and ellipses)
