Students should work on their homework daily in reading, math and spelling.

Homework will be given on the first day of the week qnd is to be turned in on Fridays.  I will be giving homework as a package so that you and your child have the option of when it is done as I know that sometimes schedules will conflict with time at home. 

Reading is part of their daily homework. Please see the additional information page for ways to improve your child's comprehension.  

There will a spelling test every week.  They will study their words inside their composition notebooks. They must do a different activity each night. Activities are listed on the web-site under homework calender.

Vocabulary test will be given every other week.  This allows your child time to understand and use the words before their tests.  The words will also be part of their spelling words that are given each week. Words that are not spelled correctly during the first week will be added to the following week. 

Please, at anytime, if you are confused do not hesitate to call.  Once we   have done it a few times, it will be routine for the students and they will   know exactly what is expected of them.
