October's Mystery
Mystery - Why The Case: At night in a quiet neighborhood mobs of people move through the streets, using threats to extort handouts from the residents. Although they continue their behavior for several hours, no one reports them to the authorities or even complains. The Mystery: WHY are these people moving through the streets AND WHAT threat do they make? The Clues: 1) Many of the people are frightening to look at. 2) The residents knew this would happen ahead of time. 3) The people are not doing anything illegal. 4) The handouts are edible. 5) This is an annual event that takes place every fall.
