Hello to ALL my Gifted Students and their Parents. The Buzz around school is that the students are as excited as I am to get started with the Gifted classes. I am planning on starting All Gifted classes the week of Monday, September 28.
This year we are going to do many new and exciting projects, which will include integrating technology into the Gifted Program, such as: Claymation, Robotics, Blogging, and much much more. In addition, we will continue many of the fun activities that the students enjoyed in previous years, such as: K'NEX constructions, a LEGO Fuel CEll Car Science project, and much more.
Students and parents please feel free to ask questions or post comments that are important to the Gifted Program, especially if you feel it is important for everyone to know. If the matter is confidential, please feel free to e-mail or call me. I look forward to a bright, exciting, and successful school year and I hope we can use this blog site as a postive and successful means of communication.

Many of you may be thinking, "What is a Blog or Blogging?"
A blog (a contraction of the term "Web log") is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting), which are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging, one which consists of blogs with very short posts.
