Each band lesson is graded based on attendance, participation, preparation and effort. Students that participate in band need to be practicing their instruments a minimum of 15-20 minutes each night. This allows students to improve on an average level and to continue developing important embouchure muscles and technical dexterity.

Playing an instrument in band is a big commitment and should not be considered second in importance. If for some reason a student cannot practice one evening they should attempt to make it up the following day.
