WELCOME to the Plum Creek Library!

Hello!

Rachel Pruett Grubbs is the Library Media Specialist at Plum Creek.  Gina Serna serves as the library assistant.

Our library/media center is one of the busiest spots in the school with its spacious floor plan and over 15,000 items!  Our library operates on a fixed schedule as part of the Specials rotation, but is open from 7:45 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  We are also open all day on Fridays for checkouts, projects, research, and other special events.  Students attend library on a weekly basis.  We believe that reading is fundamental to learning and encourage it in all we do. 

   Students at Plum Creek Elementary utilize a program called "Accelerated Reader" (or AR) which is designed to motivate children to read books and demonstrate comprehension through a computerized assessment.  You can find out more about AR by clicking on the link to the left.
