Music class Music class meets 4 days per week. Notebooks will be required, and there will be quizzes, tests, and projects done quarterly. Participation (SINGING, as well as classroom discussions/participation) will make up 50% of the quarterly grade. IF A STUDENT DOES NOT PARTICIPATE, THEY WILL NOT PASS!!!! Grades will be posted weekly and parents may monitor the student's progress throughout the marking period. We have been exploring careers in the music industry. We have written parodies of songs in the style of "Weird Al" Yankovic and will soon be creating our own raps. In February we will create Black History Month powerpoints on black entertainers. In March and April we will be working on an original song and then obtain a "poor man's copyright" for our works. Stay tuned to see what exciting ventures we undertake!
