I would certainly appreciate any recommendations you may have or just the opportunity to communicate in general.  REMINDER: FMS Trimester #1 Final Examinations were the 29th and 30th of November. The daily schedules are listed below: Thursday, 11/29/2007: Homeroom: 07:40 - 08:02 am - - - 1st Hour: 08:06 - 9:03 am - - - 2nd Hour: 09:07 - 10:04 am - - - 3rd Hour: 10:08 - 11:05 am - - - Student Dismissal Friday, 11/30/2007: Homeroom: 07:40 - 07:57 am - - - 1st Hour: 08:01 - 08:58 am - - - 2nd Hour: 09:02 - 09:59 am - - - 3rd hour: 10:03 - 11:00 am - - - Student Dismissal Please notice the 5 minute difference between the two school days. Dismissal will be five minutes earlier on Friday. (This is necessary to accommodate our bus schedule and also not infringe on the elementary schedules.) Good Luck students! Please remember to get plenty of rest, start your day with a nutritious breakfast, and be on time. 
The MEAP Testing Period began Monday, October 8th and continued through Friday, October 19th. MEAP make-up tests, if necessary, occurred the week of October 22nd through October 26th. To ensure the best possible start to their school day please make sure all students are beginning their day, each and every day, with a nutritious breakfast at home or in the FMS cafeteria! Ferndale Middle School Jog-a-thon: Friday, September 28, 2007. The Jog-a-thon is an annual event designed to raise money for the educational needs of our students (educational resources, materials, and activities). The activity will take place during the last portion of 5th hour and all of 6th hour on 9/28/07, on the high school outdoor track. Students are asked to collect pledges, from now and continuing up to a week after the jog-a-thon (flat amount or specified amount per lap) but are reminded that collecting pledges shouldn't be door-to-door. For purposes that are safety related, our students have been asked to only attempt to secure pledges from immediate family, relatives, neighbors, and family friends approved by parents/guardians. All pledges will need to be turned into the Ferndale Main Office by Monday, October 8th (not October 1st as indicated on the pledge form) 2007, through the home room collection process. If there are questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.  REMINDER: the Ferndale Middle School Open House was Wednesday, September 19th from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. The evening began with words from Principal Warren in the auditorium and continued with a mini-schedule of classes. Hopefully you enjoyed yourself because from an administrative standpoint the evening was extremely productive! Saturday, September 22nd was the last day of Summer 2007. Sunday , September 23rd began our Fall season in Michigan. Parents, please continue to remind your son and/or daughter about the cooler am temperatures and the sometime warmer pm temperatures. Proper dress, for these differences and to remain in accordance with our FMS dress code, is a requirement each and every day. Thank you in Advance. Remember, winter is just around the corner!!!
