 Today is Friday, September 19th, 2008:

Friday, September 26th (one week from today) is our Annual Ferndale Middle School Jog-A-Thon!"  The event will take place beginning during the tail end of 5th Period and continuing through 6th Period.  Students will be dismissed from the track area back into the FMS building to their lockers prior to our 2:40 PM dismissal.  Have a super weekend and be safe!!

Hello and Welcome to the 2008 - 2009 School Year at Ferndale Middle School.  The first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 2nd and will be a full-day of school!  A full-day of school on our first day is a half-day longer than in the past so please plan and accommodate for this change if you haven't already.  If there are any questions or concerns, please contact me directly at 586-8838 or by Email at bfrancis@ferndaleschools.org when convenient for you.

Below, I have left school dates and listings from last school year (2007 - 2008) as a "guide" for this school year.  Many activities and dates will of course change but it is only meant to serve as an illustration of what types information to expect for the 2008 - 2009 school year on my Teacher Website.  Thank you for visiting and best wishes for a safe and rewarding school year.

REMINDER:  For all FMS students interested in inter-scholastic athletic participation during the 2008 - 2009 school year, Dr. George will be providing athletic physical examinations for $15 (cash) immediately after-school on Wednesday, September 3rd.  Physical examination forms will be available but require parental signature in three different areas on the form, thus, the forms will be coming home Wednesday evening to be signed and then must  be returned to FMS by your son/daughter on Thursday.

The next Student of the Month Breakfast for FMS students will take place Thursday, May 08th beginning at 7:15 AM in the Media Center. Hope to see you there!!  

 REMINDER: FMS Parent/Teacher Conferences for Trimester 3 will be held on Wednesday, May 07th, 2008 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.  If you are unable to attend, please call my office or Ms. Nicholson (7th @ X8839) or Ms. Hollis (8th @ X8840) in the  Counseling office.  The 2007 - 2008 school year ends on Thursday, June 12th.

Greetings parents, community members, and visitors!   Welcome to the Ferndale Middle School (FMS) 2007 - 2008 school year!  My name is Mr. Robert Francis and I am the Assistant Principal @ Ferndale Middle School.  Currently, I am in my 19th year in education and all 19 have been in the Ferndale School District!  What a pleasure it has been.  My experiences have been primarily at the high school (14 years) and middle school (5th year) levels.

The Ferndale Middle School Open House was Wednesday, September 19th from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.  The evening began with words from Principal Warren in the auditorium and continued with a mini-schedule of classes.  (Please place this information on your calendar for next school year!  Although the date will be different, it will take place in the middle of September 2008).

Students remember, the last two days in each Trimester are Final Examination dates for the respective Trimester.
