Welcome to Mrs. Cardenas's drama & English classes!

  Hello, my name is Randy Cardenas and I teach the 6th,7th, and 8th grade drama classes here at MMS. I also teach one hour of 6th grade English. This is my 32nd(wow!) year of teaching. I taught middle school English for 24 years before switching to drama eight years ago. I have a lot of fun with drama because it allows me to teach creatively and have a good time.

About me:  I am a native Oklahoman and have lived here all my life. I received my bachelor and masters degrees from the University of Oklahoma so I'm indeed a"Sooner born and a Sooner bred". My husband, daughter, and I live here in Mustang. My daughter is a freshman this year at Oklahoma City University where she is studying muscial theatre and vocal performance. I also have a wonderful little sheltie dog,  Bucky. In my spare(?) time, I enjoy sports, writing, reading, music, and of course, attending plays and musicals. My favorite musicals are "Wicked" and "Sweeney Todd".

  The students will be learning and doing many different skills this year. In the first few days of school, they are receiving a curriculum guide that outlines what each class level will do. You might want to ask them about this.
