ALICE WILLINGHAM, Fours Lead Teacher “…and it was still hot.” (from Where the Wild Things Are) Even though Max has made mischief of one kind and another, he finds his supper waiting for him in the place where he is most loved. All children deserve to be loved…no matter what! An avid Vols fan, Alice grew up in eastern Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee. She has taught preschool for more years than she cares to remember, even returning to the classroom after a 3-year foray into administration. The classroom is definitely her first love. She is married to John, a Jerry Garcia look-alike, and they have 3 grown children and one wonderful granddaughter. In addition to her all consuming passion as a grandmother, Alice is a person of varied interests, including reading; smocking; knitting; traveling, especially to St. Simons Island, GA. Denmark and Kenya. Alice’s classroom reflects her own sense of fun and adventure.
