Intro Letter

I am happy to join the staff of St. Jude's School this year as your new Computer Teacher. This year marks my 20th year teaching in the Archdiocese, and my 18th year as a Computer Teacher. I have a Masters in Education in the area of Integrating Technology. My job allows me to work with students and teachers alike in our search to use Technology as a tool to advance learning. The mission of Technology class here at St. Jude's is to instill a love of learning, fueled by curiosity; to encourage students to learn to be problem solvers with a "can-do" attitude; to give students the tools to succeed and help each learner discover their "gift" and how to use it. I am here at St. Jude's on Monday and Tuesday mornings and all day Wednesday. I look forward to meeting all of you and encourage you to get to know what your students are working on each week. Our class website can be found by clicking on the Computer Class link on the class page. Here you will find our weekly assignments for all grades as well as all the links to sites we use in class. There is also a copy of our Computer Curriculum which follows the guidelines set by the State of WI. On this site you will also find an email link as well as a link to a monthly BLOG. Please participate in this educational dialogue. There is a different topic each month...this month the topic is Preparing Students for a Global Workplace.
