We hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. We hope you and your family had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.

Don't forget to be thinking about the Social Studies project due at the end of the school year. I went over all the directions in class. The children can visit any places in their community.For instance, They can go to the State Farmer's Market in Raleigh and  a museum or  a local park.

In Science, we will start chapter 12 which is on animal habitats.

 In Social Studies, we will finish chapter 3- which is about communities and history. The children will finish studying about Native Americans. They presented Native American PowerPoints. 

In Reading, the children will read and discuss  "Mom's Best Friend" and get new literature circle books. We will  study text organization and review phonics sounds.. The children can bring in any books on living things in their habitats or Christmas books.

 In Math, we finish the chapter on multiplication.  Please help your child memorize their multiplication facts. This week, we will do  multiplication facts up to  the 5's.

In Religion, we  will finish chapter 7 and have the unit 1 test. Remember, you are always invited to attend the School Mass with your child on Mondays. This week, third grade is planning the Mass.

Please review your child's grades as the graded work comes home in the Friday Folder.
