Dear Parents,

I hope you all have a nice weekend and a WONDERFUL and BLESSED Thanksgiving. I am going out of town and will not be in school on Monday, November 23 or Tuesday, November 24.

We have a field trip planned for Wednesday, December 2, 2009. We are going to the Museum of Natural History for a Native American Discovery Tour. The tour starts at 9:45 so we will leave the school at 9:20. We are very excited about this trip.  We can take 5 parent chaperones. These will be assigned on a first come/ first serve basis. If you are interested in going, please email me and put field trip chaperone in the subject box.

Some of the children need pencils and notebook paper. Please check with your child to see if they need any school supplies.

On Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving, The students will read and discuss their literature circle books. The children will present their Native American group projects next week. They are doing a fabulous job on these! No Spelling or Reading tests for the week of Nov. 23 – 27. However, lesson 13 spelling words are attached for the following week.

          Please continue to go over the work and tests sent home on Fridays. As a whole, the students did not do well on the science test. Please get your child to do test corrections and return it to school. We are working on study skills at school. The students should spend a few days studying for tests.
