Students read an expository text about students from Sweden who raised money to purchase a part of the Amazonian Rainforest in order to protect it. They conducted online research about animals and plants in the rainforest presenting their animal to the class.
- iPledge
iPledge is where the 6th grade students in room 225 will make a pledge of one goal they will work diligently on all year long to accomplish.
- Masters of Disaster - WEATHER!
Students created their own weather station and logged the data. They predicted weather and compared their predictions to the National Weather Service. They discussed why it might be important to listen to weather forecasts, especially watches and warnings, and how they might prepare.
