Let's practice some typing. We will be typing sentences that have information you might see on the 4th Grade New York State Science exam you will take in April. Before we begin, let's read all of the directions. 1. First, we are going to copy the sentences below that are in red. Do you remember how to copy? We highlight the text by using our mouse. Second, we press the Apple + C keys at the same time using both of our index fingers. 2. Next, click on the Let's Practice! link. 3. Third, once we get to the link, we will paste the text into the box. Do you remember how to paste? To paste, we need to press the Apple + V keys at the same time using both of our index fingers. 4. Last, we will click on the Practice Text link. The text we need to copy is below in red letters. Using your mouse, move your cursor just to the left of the 1 below.
1. The stem of a plant supports the plant. 2. The roots of a plant takes in water and nutrients. 3. The flower of a plant produces fruit and seed. 4. The leaf of a plant makes the food for the plant.
