I was born and raised in Rutherford, NJ and am a graduate of Jersey City State College, (now New Jersey City University). I've been the instrumental music teacher for the River Edge School District since 1989. Prior to that I worked in the Elmwood Park and Saddle Brook Public Schools and also in many summer programs. My first instrument was the clarinet but later on I switched to the tuba, (which my brother also played). I am still an active freelance tuba player, have been a faculty member of William Paterson University since 1993, and teach tuba privately as well. Paul Scott
