PS 19 Parent Teacher Association
The PS 19 Parents'-Teachers' Association (PTA) is comprised of all parents, guardians and teachers in PS 19, Judith K. Weiss School. It is considered a general membership. All are automatically members. No membership dues are required; however, donations are certainly welcome. Donation forms have been distributed out in September. We welcome any and all donations through out the year. Our purpose is to: -
provide support and resources to the school for the benefit and educational growth of the children, -
promote and help develop a cooperative working relationship between the parents and staff of our school, -
develop parent leadership and build capacity for greater involvement, -
foster and encourage parent participation on all levels and -
provide opportunities and training for parents to participate in school governance and decision-making. Unless otherwise indicated, our meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month during the school year at 7:00 PM in the PS19 Auditorium. Child care and food for children of PS 19 members only, is provided by Mr. Frey and the 8th Grade Honor Society while parents, guardians and teachers attend the meeting. All members are encouraged to attend. For more details regarding the PTA please refer to the By Laws.
