Welcome to World History I and Psychology ! My name is Mrs. Mesmer and I have taught here at Sacred Heart for ten years. This year I am teaching six sections of World History to Freshwomen. World History and Geography I : The content in this course will be in compliance with the New York State Syllabus. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of traditional culture and the role change in early African, Asian, European, MIddle Eastern and Native American societies and the role geography plays in these cultures. Students will be able to identify past and present relationships between developed and developing nations, the cause and effect of nationalistic movements, and the political, economic, and social interdependence of nations around the world. Psychology : Psychology is taught at the introductory level as a discipline that is unique and applicable to the human condition. The course introduces psychological terminology, methodology and content of this scientific and behavioral science. The course is geared to helping students gain a better understanding of themselves by learning about life adjustments and gaining insight into problem solving.
