Grading Procedures

1.  All assignments will be given a designated point value.  Each student's marking period grade will be calculated by taking the number of points earned and dividing by the number of possible points.  That number is then multiplied by 100 to get the percentage grade. 

2.  Tests/Quizzes -- All students are expected to be present on the day of scheduled tests and quizzes.  If a student is absent for the day of a test OR the review day they WILL be expected to take the test the day they return.

If a student is absent when new material is taught, the will have three days to take the make-up.  ALL make-ups will be taken 10th period, please make an appointment with Mrs. Insalaca.

3.  Projects/Graded Homework -- All graded assignments will be given a DUE DATE in advance.  No assignments will be accepted after this date.  If you are absent the day the assignment is due you are responsible to make arrangements for your assignment to get to me by the end of 10th period on the due date.  If you know in advance that you will be absent the day an assignment is due it would be wise to turn the assignment in the day before! 

4.  Extra Credit will NOT be given.  If you are struggling with the course material I am available for extra help during 10th period.  Please do NOT get to a point where you are in over your head.  If you are having ANY amount of trouble, PLEASE see me.  It will be easier to come when the problem is small rather than letting it get out of control.
