Well, state testing for English Language Arts has been completed. The feedback I've gotten from some of my Language students was that it was okay! Mrs. Cowen-Smith and I are quite pleased with how hard they worked in class to prepare for the test.
With that behind us, we have informed the students that we intend to continue to push for hard work and cooperation as we are very close to the end of our Language! curriculum for this year. We plan to administer "post" tests prepared by Sopris West that are intended to show the progress our children have made since they began the program. We anticipate many positive results!
With the weather (finally) getting warm, it becomes challenging to keep our students serious. Please continue to help us by reminding them that they need to continue to read for 45 to 60 minutes each night, and keep their log up to date, as we come to the end of the school year.
