Welcome to another school year, my class, and this website. We are looking forward to another fabulous year at Coronado. The business department, as with others, have been hard at work to ensure you have a safe and educational year. We have numerous school, department, and personal goals to ensure you receive the maximum educational opportunities you desire. As with anything, you will get out of the school year and my class what you put in. With that I ask you to put your best foot forward as you "Make it a Blockbuster Year"! My name is Mr. Joshua S. Fisher and am starting my seventh year of teaching. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, I attended Utah State University in Logan, UT for three years before transferring to UNLV to complete my undergraduate work in Business Administration - Marketing. During my undergraduate studies, and for a brief time after, I worked in the corporate world where I began as a marketing intern and quickly moved up the ladder to a marketing associate in charge of customer retention and pricing for the western United States. Thinking big I left that profession and dabbled in several small businesses until I considered becoming a teacher. At that point I enrolled in UNLV to obtain my MEd. - Curriculum and Instruction. Upon completion of that I began teaching at Coronado HS in 2002-2003 and have been here ever since. I truly enjoy working at this school and have been blessed to work with an outstanding and supportive staff. I recently finished work on my MEd. - PK-12 Educational Leadership and am currently looking to begin the next phase of my career in school leadership. When I decide to make this jump I hope to continue making an impact on the lives of the students I see everyday. I have a beautiful daughter (Kailee) who means the world to me and recently began her own schooling by becoming a kindergartener. When not doing school related things, I can be found with Kailee or enjoying one of the plethora of other activities I like. Golfing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter are hobbies of mine. Also, from time to time I can be found riding my motorcycle trying to stay under the speed limit! I hope you enjoyed learning a bit about me. I look forward to working with you this year and making it successful for all!
