Teacher Biography
About Ms. Matsago |

 Education: I graduated from Tamaqua Area High School in 2001 and from college in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with secondary certification. I began my Master's program, Teaching and Learning with Technology, in June of 2005 and finished the program in November of 2006.
Because I am always eager to remain fresh in my content area, I decided to pursue another Master's degree and began taking courses in June of 2007 towards my Master of Arts degree in English. I am also working on becoming a Reading Specialist.  Experience: This will be my fourth year teaching HS Language Arts at Pine Grove Area HS and my third year teaching 12th grade British Literature.
Additionally, I am a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, as well as a member of local chapter, Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of English Language Arts. I attend annual conferences and workshops for both of these accredited organizations.  Activities: I am currently the Student Council adviser at the high school, and have been so for the past three years. I help organize events such as the semi-formal, trick or treat night, winter/fall pep rally, etc.
In addition to my duties as the Student Council adviser, I am also the Varsity Soccer and Varsity Basketball Cheerleading coach.
