About Sr. Nehal I am an Egyptian, although I was born in America, making me an Egyptian American Muslim woman. I hold a medical degree from Alexandria University with honors, and was previously a medical doctor at Gamal Abdel Naser Hospital in Alexandria for two years. I have been an Arabic Studies teacher with Austin Peace Academy for 12 years. I have my son, AbdelRahman who is A@M freshman student, and my daughter Mariam who is in the 10th grade. I left my medical career because I felt and still feel very strongly that our kids is amana, or trust, given to us by Allah. We are responsible to raise them in the best way, and Allah SWT will ask us about this on the Day of Judgment. For this reason Austin Peace Academy is such an essential part of my life. I am also very happy with my lovely the Arabic and Islamic sisters and brothers ; Sister Guyna, Hoda,Samia, and sister Najia,brother umar,and sister samia.
