About Sr. Nehal I am an Egyptian, although I was born in America, making me an Egyptian American Muslim woman. I hold a medical degree from Alexandria University with honors, and was previously a medical doctor at Gamal Abdel Naser Hospital in Alexandria for two years. I have been an Arabic Studies teacher with Austin Peace Academy for nine years. I have two kids, AbdelRahman who is in the 10th grade, and Mariam who is in the 7th grade. I left my medical career because I felt and still feel very strongly that our kids is amana, or trust, given to us by Allah. We are responsible to raise them in the best way, and Allah SWT will ask us about this on the Day of Judgment. For this reason Austin Peace Academy is such an essential part of my life. I am very happy that brother Dr. Ibrahim Dremali has joined us as our director. I have learned a lot from his expertise and experience and I am grateful for his valuable contributions to our department. I am also very happy with the Arabic and Islamic Staff; Sister Guyna, Hoda,Samia,Najia,and rana. Insha'Allah I hope that I can fulfill the Amana of our kids here at Austin Peace Academy.
