Homework

Students will have homework most days for class. Homework is due the day you are told by the teacher. Some homework is due the next day, some homework is due on Friday. I will accept homework on the day that it is due. Other late homework may be collected at the discretion of the teacher. I do not accept homework at the end of the semester that was due at the beginning of the semester. You will be told what gets turned in as homework or what stays in your notebook for your notebook check. Homework is always turned into your class basket.

Absent Work:

It is your responsibility to be at school and on time to class. After any excused absence, students are required to make contact with the teacher to obtain makeup work within three days following the absence. (This includes each day of the week, not the three days that you may have this class due to the block schedule.) To obtain makeup work, please come in before or after school, not during class. It is your responsibility to find out what you have missed due to your absence. Students will then have the days missed plus one extra day to complete and turn in the makeup work. Regular attendance is strongly encouraged to make sure the student does not fall behind in their studies. In addition, a student may lose credit for the course with 7 or more unexcused absences.  Any assignments due the day that you are absent must be turned in the day you return to class.

However when a student is absent, the educational experiences lost during that absence might be irretrievable because the instruction and interaction in the instructional setting cannot be duplicated through makeup work.
