Physics is the science that deals with the rules of the universe. Throughout history, men have viewed the natural world around them and tried to explain why something happens. They developed rules and guidelines to explain and organize phenomena. These rules describe a wide variety of topics including how things move, why things fall, the nature of light, colors, and why the Earth is round, just to name a few. These rules and explanations are what we today call Physics. The rules apply not just to our neighborhood or planet, but to the entire universe. Physics provides us with the tools to explore the farthest reaches of space, and stretches our imagination by letting realize new and exciting possibilities.
