WHAT THE COACH EXPECTS FROM YOU
Your coach will expect only two small sacrifices on your part. First, your undivided attention at all times. Listen to what your coach tells you all of the time, not just part-time. Your coach might give a great bit of information to someone else and if you’re not listening, just because the coach isn’t talking to you, you miss out. Learning is the key to all success and without listening there is no learning.
Secondly,
your coach will expect you to give 100% all of the time, not just in meets and
competitions. You can’t be a sometime athlete to reach your potential. You need
proper practice all of the time to become the athlete you are capable of
becoming. Give your best whether stretching, running, jumping, throwing, studying,
listening or playing, and know when it is the appropriate time for each one.
Your
coach will give his best effort to make you better. It is imperative and only
reasonable that you give your best effort to make you better!
“The trouble with doing
something right the first time is that nobody appreciates how difficult it
was.” - Walt West
“To accomplish great things,
we must not only act,
but also dream,
not only plan,
but also believe.”
- Anatole
