Family is very important to me.  My husband Dan and I have two young adult children, Michael and Meg.  Michael lives in Los Angeles and Meg lives in Chicago.  She was married last October 9th and recently made us grandparents of a darling little girl on August 5th.  Gianna Danielle is our first grandchild and we are thrilled.  As each of our children graduated from college and moved away they gifted us with a kitten.  So now our house is ruled by Paco and Mia our feline children. I am also very close to my niece, Nicole, who is a kindergarten teacher in the South Lyon school district. It's fun having another teacher in the family.

We are a very active family.  My husband, friends and I love biking whether its on organized tours, the trails of state parks, or simply from Canton to Northville and back. Kayaking is another passion of the O'Karma Family.

 On a professional note, I earned my teaching degree from the University of Detroit and have acquired an additional 30 post graduate credit hours. Let me state how delighted I am to have a job I feel thankful for. I absolutely love coming to teach every day at St. Mary.
